Mergers And Acquisitions

“The golden rule: He who has the gold, makes the rules.”

Capital Funding

As I write in my book, cash is your company’s air supply – without it, your company will die. With thirty-plus years of business experience, including more than 15 years as a CEO of two mid-size companies…I like to think I know a thing or two about funding a business, financing a business and maintaining positive cash flow.

And I do.

I know the mistakes to avoid – in some cases because I’ve made them myself. I also have a good feel for the type of funding and financing arrangements that will work best for a business. And, win the approval of lenders and investors.

  • For example, on a recent project I drafted an offering document that was instrumental in helping my client obtain a $5.2 million dollar, USDA-guaranteed bank loan.

Not surprisingly, having a clear and focused vision for your business and a documented plan of action for achieving that vision…can be a big help to you when seeking debt or equity capital.

Mergers & Acquisitions

Whether you want to –

  • Merge with another company
  • Acquire another company, or
  • Sell out to another company…

…my experience and expertise can minimize headaches and hassle while maximizing your odds for success.

  • For instance, a current project of mine involves helping a client prepare its company for sale. In addition to their established offerings they have a couple of promising new products. If we can show solid growth in these lines and demonstrate the ability to penetrate the market… the company will be much more attractive to a potential suitor. I helped them put together a plan to do that and I’m working with them to execute the plan.

If you’re in the market for capital funding or an acquisition, looking to combine your business with another  business or to cash in the equity your hard work has built up, I can help.

One final note about mergers and acquisitions: According to a number of recent studies, between 55 percent and 83 percent of these transactions fail to add value. All the more reason to seek experienced and qualified help before you venture into the mergers and acquisitions waters.

Email or call today to set up an appointment to learn more about how I can help your company maximize its odds for capital funding or mergers and acquisitions success. (Naturally, we’ll get an non-disclosure agreement in place before entering into any substantive discussions.)
