Health Care Costs Impacting Small Business

Does anybody understand what the government is trying to do with health care? If so I’d like to hear a reasonable explanation. As i hear it they are being advised by the pharmaceutical companies and health care lobbyists. Correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t they the ones that created what we have?
It appears we’re going to get more of the same with a different payment scheme. I haven’t heard of any participation by business owners or even health care recipients. As a business owner and CEO for over 20 years I can tell you that health care costs have one constant, the price goes up every year. In spite of that we are overweight, over medicated and generally not well. If you look at the ROI on dollars spent for health care, the return is horrible.
Once again and I keep asking this question, why aren’t we being heard? The town hall meetings being driven by the GOP are an attack on the Democrats more that a realistic forum for productive debate. Small business accounts for the vast majority of new jobs in this country we need a stronger voice.
Of course in order to have a productive debate someone has to be listening.
